I swear i would have went to jail if i wasnt on the phone with the workers there. They are extremely rude! Ive been hung up on continuously, told i cant afford to pay my debt, wouldnt let me make an individual payment when i was told i could, changed my option of a payment plan, and harrassing voicemails. This company is trash and they need to hire more proffesional and respectful customer service agents. I hate i have to deal with this company over a late 60 day notice, even though i finished my lease agreement.

Do you have their Employer ID (EIN)? They won't send my husband's W-2's.

I JUST HAD TO RUDEST WOMAN CONTACT MY 79 year old mother about a debt she supposedly had. My mom is the victim of fraud. I live with my mom and am her care taker and have power of attorney. My mom tried to explain this to her to no avail and gave her permission to speak with me about it. You see, she's the victim here, the lady said by law, she could not talk to me. Just not true, now if you know anything about fraud, you know you get a lot of calls and I have always handled every one of them. As a matter of fact I have the police report pro collect needs to stop this fraud! I finally get on phone and in a very rude and condescending manner this woman at pro collect told me it was none of my business! That's really helping the victim of fraud huh

I had a debt that I paid on August 31,2015 to ProCollect they have yet to pay whom the debt was owed to when contacting ProCollect and giving them my acct number they transfer me to a voicemail. They say it is the supervisors voicemail. If he calls you back after you leave voicemail he is rude as all get out.

Pro collect is right, pay both, you on collections ...hello, you had have plenty time to decided how to pay, when acct goes to coll, its because you late late...pay your bill if you dont want to deal with coll agencies....

Poor service, ridiculous fees

ProCollect was attempting to collect a debt for Gexa Energy. I willingly set up a payment arrangement with them only to find out months later that the fee of $7.50 was not a one time fee as I understood but a fee that was applied every time a payment was made on the account. Their collection practices are questionable at best. When I called to speak to a representative this morning, the first individual was standoffish and borderline hostile, not letting me complete a sentence, talking over me and refusing to listen. When I requested to speak to a supervisor I was hung up on. To give them a little credit, when I immediately called back I was connected directly with a supervisor on that request.

ProCollect trying to build a reputation

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

In 2010, I had a Kidney stone and went to the Charlton Methodist ER. I had medical insurance, which paid most of my bill.

A physician service which was "out of plan" sent me a bill for $411. I contacted them and they were willing to re-submit to my insurance under a different code to get paid. I never heard anything further from them. Fast forward to 2014, when I got a notice from ProCollect for the full amount of the bill.

I verified the bill was legit and paid it. ProCollect filed a collection action against my credit - with a $0.00 balance owed ! My credit went from 810 to 670 on all 3 agencies. I guess it makes them feel powerful to screw up people's lives.

I am currently trying to negotiate with the credit bureaus to get some relief.

What can be done to stop these *ssholes from doing their damage?

Mine went down 95 points

SIX YEARS ago, I went to the ER in Dallas. I was not aware that I still owed anything, but suddenly one morning I discovered that my credit rating had gone down 95 points because of a charge to Emergency Physicians, and Emergency Physicians no longer exists. I don't know what ProCollect expects to gain from ruining my 815 credit score. I suppose they paid very little to acquire this debt and the right to ruin mine and other people's credit scores. It seems a little too easy to have such a huge impact of people's lives and financial information.

The same thing happened to me. I plan on getting a lawyer.

I called the hospital, their billing department, and Emergency Physicians and they could not find me in their system. Emergency Physician informed me that they do not use procollect as a collection agency. The debt they claim I owe is 5 years old. I am very frustrated!

When I called procollect, that just ask how do I want to pay the $84.00.....

they even asked to settle.

There was a dispute between my daughter's college apartment complex over cleaning charges. This alleged debt was sent to PROCOLLECT and I was unaware of this action. PROCOLLECT never contacted me on the phone, left any voice messages or provided me a written notice to dispute this alleged debt as required by regulation. They reported it to Credit Bureaus without any notice to me. I have 45 years of paying every debt on time. This company's actions has affected my credit score lowering it by 60 points. Contacts with them resulted in dealing with rude employees who did not want to listen. It was a debt because the Apartment complex said so.

Emergency Care Physicians

How does this happen? In 2010 I went to the Emergency Room. My blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance paid. I NEVER received ANY bill from an Emergency Care Physicians - EVER. I find out that whoever was suppose to do the billing for THEM went defunct. NOW, FIVE YEARS LATER I find out my credit rating has been dinged from ProCollect. (for about $400) ProCOllect ruins MY credit rating without due process?!!!! I am distraught That the Emergency Physicians don't send bills, don't try to right THEIR incompetence, NO, they give to BILL COLLECTORS?! (who are extremely rude)
